I believe each interaction with a child is an opportunity & each of us has something to gain from the company of others. Young children thrive in a stable predictable environment. So while I strive to remain flexible to each ones' varying needs each day, our days will follow a consistent schedule. The particulars may change, but the schedules remains the same. By encouraging children to learn at their own level they will gain the confidence of self-importance.

About Me

My name is Torrie
Bowers and I am 37 years old. I have been in the business of providing childcare and preschool for over 15 years now, and I am continuously interested and involved in the study and theories of childhood development.

As the mother of 3 (2 of which are teenagers), I have many years of experience with children. I look for ways to put these experiences and theories into practice on a day-to-day basis and my family always supports my efforts to run a business from our home.

I have been caring for children in my home since 1997. Prior to opening my home to childcare and preschool, I volunteered and worked in Daycares, preschools, and Child Development Centers for several years.

I have completed a number of courses and workshops pertaining to children and child care and I continue to take workshops regularly to further my education.

In the classroom, my priorities are to foster self-concepts and strong socialization between children and adults. Along with self-guided discovery and open-ended activities, I believe these are basic to a child’s success and academic achievement in the subsequent years. I hope to encourage this through a variety of physical and quiet activities, explorations and lots of play, play, play.
